My Treatment Focus

I am here to help you become your most confident and capable version of yourself. As a graduate of the University of Southern California with over 18 years of experience, I have worked in many settings and with many populations including: men, women, children/their families, members of the LBGTQIA+ community, and Veterans. Currently, I work with individuals, and I am committed to uplifting women of African descent, ages 18 and above. I am skilled at working with clients who are experiencing: life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, anger, sadness, mood disorders, aging, cultural stress, self-esteem, racial trauma, spirituality, trauma, stress as well as general mental health challenges. The therapeutic process often involves healing, addressing unresolved challenges, learning and gaining tools that can help you navigate your life’s path, my focus is to assist you meet your life and treatment goals.

My Treatment Approach

Everyone is unique. I provide counseling and resources that focus on collaborative care to support each person’s distinctive needs, experiences, and strengths. I utilize traditional Western Evidence Based Practices and Ancient Eastern techniques throughout the therapeutic journey. Some of the most common theoretical approaches I use in the healing process are: Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Humanistic therapy, Psychodynamic, Existential, Culturally Sensitive, Motivational Interviewing MI), Compassion Focused, Strength Based, Positive Psychology, Racial Trauma Recovery, and Person-centered therapy. I also incorporate Ecotherapy (such as Walk and Talk therapy) and Floral Healing/Mindfulness/Design.
